It was a sad day for us all this past Thursday when we had to say goodbye to our first family pet Duke. Its one of those things, you know the day is coming but you are never prepared and it never gets any easier to let go. He was about 22 years old which is really amazing, and he lived in the Peteuil household for about 18 of those years. He was the dog that all of us kids grew up with, we all loved him and will miss him very much.
I just thought it would be nice to post a few pics of Dukes younger years...

I miss the little guy. It makes me really sad to think about how he was stuck in the laundry room for probably the last 2 years due to my butt head of a dog. I was hoping I would've moved out earlier so he could have roamed the house a little before he left us. I feel he did not deserve staying in that room all the time.
I miss him too, even though I am not there to see him physically gone. I do wish he would have had more free time too but what can you do. I remember Jared and I tried to take him for a while but he peed on like 5 things in 10 minutes so we felt bad, but it wasn't going to work :-( Sorry Dukey
